Care guide.
Treat your linens kindly and they will outlast their fashion. These are the same routines we share with our hospitality clients — written for your home.
Bedding
- 01Wash separately for the first three cycles, cold water, mild detergent. This sets the colour and softens the weave.
- 02Skip fabric softener — it coats fibres and reduces breathability. A cup of white vinegar in the rinse does the same job, naturally.
- 03Tumble dry low. Remove while slightly damp and press, or hang to finish.
- 04Rotate two sets. Resting between uses dramatically extends the life of every set.
Bath
- 01Wash before first use to activate absorbency.
- 02Cold or warm water, low spin. Avoid bleach — even on whites, it weakens the cotton.
- 03Tumble dry medium with a wool dryer ball for loft.
- 04Wash towels every 3–4 uses; robes weekly.
Fragrance & Candles
- 01Burn candles for at least one hour on the first light so the wax pools fully — this prevents tunnelling.
- 02Trim the wick to 5mm before every burn. Cleaner flame, longer life.
- 03For diffusers, flip reeds every 7–10 days. Refresh oil every 8–12 weeks.
Storage
- 01Fold and stack, don't compress. Cotton sheets like to breathe.
- 02A cotton storage bag or a clean pillowcase keeps dust out without trapping moisture.
- 03Add a small cedar block in your linen press — natural, fragrant, no chemicals.
